Swing Dance CLASSES
Fridays, 6:00 - 7:30 pm
Sundays, 1:30 - 3:00 pm
Swing classes are currently on break. For more information, or to be notified when they resume, please call Kim at (561) 630-3688.
Swing dancing is a partner dance that traces its roots to the original Lindy Hop of the 1930s and can be danced to most big band, blues and rock music. As one of the more playful and expressive forms of dance, you can find people dancing swing at weddings, parties, and nightclubs.
Students will learn the basics of East Coast Swing, including single-step and triple-step.
No partner is necessary--just show up and you'll have a great time!
Students should wear flat, comfortable shoes like sneakers or dress shoes. Low heels are acceptable as well. Swing is somewhat athletic, so dress comfortably and expect to sweat a bit!
About the Instructor
Kim has been swing dancing since 2002 and for several years was part of an amateur dance troupe that performed both locally and at venues such as Walt Disney World. These days he dances East Coast swing, Lindy Hop, and blues.
